Cartoons just for kids?

I think not!

You never realize all the innuendos and adult humor until you go back and watch cartoons from your childhood.

Thank you, Netflix!

Right? After watching Looney Tunes every Saturday growing up, then not watching it as I got older, and now introducing my own children to it...it's really crazy what they got away with in some of those cartoons.

I watched Rugrats for the first time in years a few weeks ago, and there are naughty jokes and innuendos in there that caught me so off guard. It was hilarious and wonderful.

I watch'm today and will unapologetically watch as long as I enjoy them! "Young Justice", "Green Lantern", and "Transformers Prime" are holding me over until "Legend of Korra" book 2 is ready <sigh>

    1) Go on YouTube and search for "Animaniacs" and "innuendos". I saw a 7-10 min mash-ups of dozens from that show! Now that it's on The Hub, I'm enjoying it all over again! My favorite was "fingerprints"...
    2) The original 1960's version of "Jonny Quest" was extraordinarily violent and someone died on EVERY ep. I'm still suprised that it was ever aired in an era when you had to say "expecting" or "the rabbit died" instead of "pregnant" on TV shows.
    3) Playing off of #2 above ('rabbit died'), I love the Bugs Bunny toon where Elmer was singing about his "spear and magic helmet"!

Psh! I love watching Ultimate Spider-Man on Saturday morning! I'm going to miss Avengers: EMH. I'm not sold on the new take on the cartoon yet but we'll see.

Thundercats, FTW! lol I loved, loved, LOVED the original and am ok with the new version of Thundercats.

And I'm also a long time Johnny Quest fan (woot!).

I watch a variety of cartoons (South Park, Futurama, Adventure Time, Spongebob, etc...). My son is 18 and my daughter is 11, so I get the best of both worlds! Introduced to darker, edgier cartoons/anime by my oldest and the "new school" cartoons on Cartoon Network by my youngest.

I sorta hate Ultimate Spider-Man for being too much like Family Guy in their non-sequitors. Also I don't like how they feel the need to ram all the villains into the show and ruin their backstories. Also, he doesn't need a Shield team. I hate what they've done with Luke Cage. But I'm happy to see Spiderman on TV on so I'll continue to watch it and enjoy it. Oh yeah: Harry Osborne should not be Venom.

Young Justice is an amazing show. Totally geeked out to watch every episode. I wish for Teen Titans to return. Wolverine and the X-Men was a good show but I don't think it's coming back.

Avengers was kinda meh. It seems like it was made to accompany the movie. Still, I'll watch it.

Does Archer count as a cartoon?

As a college student it was mandatory for me to watch darkwing duck, animaniacs, ren and stimpy, and Rocco Modern Life anytime that they were on.

I like Rug Rats, Popeye and of course Looney Tunes.
Then there are the Pixar and Dreamworks movies. I loved Megamind and The Incredibles.
I recently got my kids hooked on Woody Woodpecker.
