Working out with Diastasis Recti

Hello fellow mamas. I just had my 2nd kid 12 weeks ago and have begun working out. I have diastasis recti so have been avoiding crunches and all abdominal exercises in order to prevent making it worse. Have any of you managed to loose weight and get in shape while dealing with diastasis recti? How did you do it and about how long did it take?

I started doing the simple exercises suggested by NHS (contracting in my stomach towards my spine, etc.) but it seems so minuscule and like it will take forever to get my muscles back together! Guess I just need some reassurance and any advice :)

Right now I am doing the 30 Day Shred workout but instead of doing the crunches and stuff I do the diastasis recti exercises during the ab sections of the workout.

    I too have diastasis recti...it stinks! I am 16 months out and no change! I want to not look preggo anymore!
