I hope it's ok that I start this week's thread.
I would like to ask the group's permission to finish out this challenge, As on Monday, having a baby isn't in my foreseeable future. My partner of 3 years decided that our relationship was over and asked me to move out.
You all have been such an amazing support during this weight loss challenge and for the first time in my life I did not turn to food for comfort. When I got on the scale yesterday morning I felt a sense of power (even though I feel broken). I am resolved to not let this devastating event destroy me and undo the hard work I've put into myself.
I have made a 5K my goal for April. Fitness is going to get me through this heartache and when I meet the right person a baby will be in the cards and my body will be healthy and strong to carry and nurture it.
Week 1: 208.8
Week 2: 204.4
Week 3: 203
Week 4: 204
Week 5: Out of town
Week 6: 200.8
Week 7: 198.6
Week 8: 197.6
Week 9: 197.6
Week 10: 193 (15.8 pounds!)
Thank you all so much for your support and strength!

I just have to say that I am so proud of you!! As terrible as a break up is, especially after a long term relationship, your positive attitude inspires me! You deserve to lose this weight and be heathly for that baby when a man that deserves you comes along! Wishing you all the strength in the world in this difficult time! Friend me for continued support if you want.0 -

Nikki, of course it's OK that you started the thread. I'm so sorry you're going through a breakup, but good for you for sticking with the challenge and not letting this tough time set you back! You are a strong woman, keep it up.0

I gained this week. I think it was like 2.9 lbs or maybe 1.9 something like that. Not sure why but my sodium has been high so i am thinking it was probably that. Urgh! Darn sodium. It hides in so many things. I have given up adding salt to my food but it is in so many other things. I am at a 6 or 7 lb loss now. I am happy that i have lost.0
