Period while pregnant?

Hey ladies! This is a little awkward to talk about. But did any of you still get your period early on in your pregnancy?

I had some spotting in my first trimester. I spoke with my midwives about it and they said it was common to have a little spotting, especially after sex. It eventually stopped happening, even after sex. I have also heard of people who still actually menstruate during a pregnancy. They can get pregnant while pregnant so to speak and have twins with different gestational ages. It's pretty rare. I would just talk to your OB to see what they say. Also, wearing a pad to be able to let them know about how much you're bleeding can be helpful. (DO NOT USE TAMPONS!!) Hope that helps. Cheers!

I had a "period" with my first pregnancy when I was about 8 weeks. It was pretty heavy and I thought I was miscarrying, but us confirmed everything was ok. Sometimes with insertion of the fetus after conception there can be bleeding and it may not actually present for a month or two.

Either way no matter what if you are bleeding or spotting or anything like that I would def. call OB....
