To Weigh or Not To Weigh, that is the question...

So, Friday is technically my weigh-in day and I've been excited (as odd as that is) to get weighed in every week since starting here and I am again this week - especially because I'll have had 6 days of shredding under my belt by then combined with other cardio. I've tracked consistently and haven't gone over my daily goal so I should be successful on the scale.
BUT
I know some of you aren't getting weighed in until the 30 days are over and I think of how exciting that would be - to wait a whole month to see what the scale shows me. What are you doing? Will you weigh in weekly or can you wait a whole 30 days to see what the results are?

I weigh in monthly, just to check that numbers are going in the direction I want them to. I want to see this as a lifestyle change not a diet. What do you do when you reach your "ideal weight"? I'd rather have my focus on making healthy food choices and have exercise as habit rather than "workout!Workout!Workout! Okay.... you're there now..." - if that makes sense?0

Well, what I "did" before when I hit my ideal weight, I don't want to do again because I gained 100 pounds. If I would have weighed in monthly or weekly then, it would be a different story but this time is different so no need to worry about what I did in the past. I know what I did wrong and this time I'm fixing it properly! :-)
Your post makes TOTAL SENSE! Thanks for the input!0 -

I totally agree with this!!!! ^^^^^ I would rather eat healthy and make good choices for the rest of my life then just for the next couple months!!! I like your idea of only weighing in once a month. I may do this. I find the stress of the numbers gets to me sometimes (I weigh in every week). Thank you for the tips!!!
OP......Don't be discouraged if you don't seem much movement on the scale. This happened to me yesterday!! I started 30DS last Monday and thought that I would defintely see a huge difference in the scale. Well........I didn't see much at all. I got so discourages yesterday that it really put me in the "I'm never going to hit my goal weight" blues! But I still did day 9 and I am going to focus more on the inches/how I feel virsus how many pounds are gone. From my reading I have found that most ppl only loose about 5 pds total anyway. Good luck and if you need any motivation or support feel free to add me!!!0 -
Last time I did 30DS I lost 5lb and that was only doing half the programme so I'd be over the moon if I lost 10lb this time round, but hey, who knows?
Going back to frequency of weighing in, I retain SO much water the few days before my monthly visitor that getting on the scale can be really disappointing even if I know it's temporary water weight, it doesn't help. I personally feel that for me, a monthly weigh in gives me a much more true reading, and I can't get obsessive over weighing that way either. The last time I weighed was Pancake Day, lol!! So I'm due a weigh-in soon but I figured I'd leave it until Easter, lol!0 -
I didn't weigh.0

I weigh daily- the scale is my motivator. If it's down, I'm motivated because what I am doing is working, if it's up I'motivated to workout harder that day. I only log 2# or more increase and ALL decreases . And my weight on Monday is my Official weight (on my mind)0

I pretty much feel and do the same as you. I can't help myself from jumping on the scale, it's right there.0
