We've all been talking about our ink and whatnot lately, and a tat thread idea has been bounced around. I have a few minutes, so thought I would start.
I don't have all of them posted, as there have been some additions, but these are the ones I have access to right now:
My eldest son designed this for me. It's his name in Kanji (I actually had this fact checked before making it permanent. I have a friend in Tokyo that helped me out, LOL), and above that (which is half chopped off) is "best friends." My bestie from high school and I each got one the day my divorce was final. Currently, behind the 2 cherry blossoms are three more cherry blossoms in an ankle bracelet layout...one for each of my three sons.
The original rose was done in 94 to commemorate the birth of my youngest son. I added the hummingbird a couple of summers ago. It's probably a little big, but I don't care. The powers that be don't love it when I'm wearing skirts, but they didn't like my nose piercing, either, and eventually got over it. *shrug*
Tribute to my littlest papillon, Lily. This is her paw print blown up. She was the runt of our last litter, and had to be bottle fed because she had a cleft lip, and she was all of about 5 pounds. She was a special fur kid, and lived by my husband's side when he was recovering from his surgery. We lost her six months after her first birthday from a seizure disorder, and it was ridiculously heartbreaking.
I have more, but they need to really be touched up. The butterfly on my shoulder has faded due to lack of sunscreen, and my tramp needs some embellishment, which will be my reward, come fall, for getting to goal.

YEah!! I can actually see your pics!!!! woot!! Love the paw print tatt..I have actually wanted to get my Duncan's name on my ankle..just haven't had the time...go figure my bf is a tattoo artist on the side and he doesn't have ANY time... haven't even seen him. sniff..:sad:
So here are mine!!
The one on my left breast is my favorite..I call it my self portrait. I love the way he is holding his wings in to his heart...kinda like holding himself in, keeping himself protected, or caressing and keeping those he loves close...all of those things and more...you know secret stuff...
The big one on my left hip hurt SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. And trust me I have a really high tolerance to pain...but for some reason that area was so sensitive I jumped every time he touched me.
love my tatts. I'm working on a new one that will be the head of a dragon, but the body will swirl around and be made up of lyrics from one of my favorite songs...I just need to decided which song.0 -
