How many of you have calculated your TDEE and based your calorie intake off that?
I calculated mine using this site: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ and I'd never calculated it before...so if that site is accurate, and my numbers are accurate for my activity level, my TDEE is 2115 cal/day. I currently eat at 1500 and I don't typically eat back my exercise calories - urgh. I don't want to post in the normal forums because people are asshats over there when you ask nutrition questions, so I figured I'd ask you ladies!
Should I be eating more?

I follow the road map and eat TDEE - 20%0

I guess my next question would then be is that your net intake is your TDEE -20% or your gross intake before exercise calories?0

My TDEE is 2127, so TDEE - 20% for me before my exercise calories is 1701..and I try to only eat back half or less of my calories. The road map advises you to eat them all back because the TDEE takes into consideration light activity. Basically, I shoot for btw 1600-1700 a day plus half of what I burn.0

Wow CN your number is my number by 1, crazy. OP - My TDEE is 2126. I do -15% and eat back excerise cals. I just started to do this. The reason I eat back and only do -15% is because lower then that I would be below BMR. Not Good. My net is 1800 I have been learning this the hard way. Not losing ANY weight or inches. for 4 months. I was at 1500net and that is below my BMR by 200 cals without my cal burn. I have a lot to lose and wasn't understanding how I could not be losing. My body was holding fast because of my numbers being so low. It can be confusing and you can lose weight by eating less very slowly but why would you? I just get frustred at myself. Another site I really like is: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Good Luck to you.0

I also follow road map and my TDEE -20% is about 1800 calories so I eat that much and only eat back enough of my exercise calories to get me to 1500-1600 NET calories for the day. I workout in the evening so my calorie burn determines if I need to a small dinner. Normally I don't because I ate enough during the day to fuel my exercise and not feel hungry in the evening.0

I've been wearing a bodymedia fit for a long time, which calculates my TDEE for me (including exercise cals). I also do TDEE- 20 to 25%, and it works for me slowly but surely. How active is your regular life? 1500's pretty puny. If you're going to eat that, you should be eating exercise calories back. Personally I don't eat exercise cals back because it's already calculated into my TDEE, so I just eat a static amount of calories each day whicht echnically means I'm eating my exercise cals back over a week's time (I take a week's TDEE's, add them together, divide by 7 days to get an average and then take away 20% and 25% to give me a daily range to shoot for). I don't pay attention to NET calories at all- I just eat what my BMF tells me to eat (I do 1800-2000 a day, with a spike day a week up to 2400. I have a pretty active job though, so i'm walking and moving around about 60% of my workday).
Before I got my BMF I used this site: http://www.health-calc.com/diet/energy-expenditure-advanced which when I compare to the activity my BMF tells me, it's accurate.0 -
I do tdee-30% but once im not morbidly obese ill switch to tdee-20%0

Thank you for all of the advice ladies! I am going to start eating back more of my exercise calories, and once I'm back from my spring break trip (I leave FRIDAY to go to Florida!), I'm going to go see a registered dietician to get their take on my intake as well. I want to get a body media band but can't afford it yet - according to that website Starlange gave me, my BMR is 1465 cal and my TDEE is around 2700 cal. o.O Thank you guys for all your help! I really appreciate it0

Sounds about right, on exercise and workdays I burnup to 2700 - 3000, on a weekend and workout day Usually around 2400-2500.0
