Do you watch your sodium intake? Mine is high most days. I don't feel like I eat a highly processed diet but I think the majority of sodium I consume comes from lunch meat, canned black beans and salad dressing. I don't think I retain much water because of it though.

Honestly I don't pay much attention to it! I feel like out of all the things I have to worry about, that really isn't the top of the priority list....especially because I don't tend to eat much processed food! The only crappy thing is that it can affect that damn number on the scale

    No.

I honestly believe there's no point in controlling your water weight, or trying to. You're not trying to lose scale weihgt, you're trying to lose FAT, so how much water is or isn't in your body at any given time is irrelevant.

There are people with sodium sensitivity and medical conditions that hsould watch sodium, but I don't see why its an issue for anyone else.

No, I just watch my main three macros, protein, fat and carbs.

I track mine and try to stay low around 2500mg. I dont have high blood pressure or anything like that, I am normally on low normal side of BP but I do have bad retention if I have too much usually when I exceed 4000 mg. I try to get canned stuff, like veggies and tomato sauce with reduced or no sodium and seasoning packs (ie taco seasoning) with reduced sodium. I have found the older I get the less sodium I can ingest because of the fluid retention. so you young things enjoy your salt while ya can!
