sore ankles. help!!!

I have been running for a couple of months. I have just gotten to 5 miles. When I finish my run, my right ankle is sore. I think this may have to do with the fact that I have one leg about a 1/2" shorter than the other. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? Will an ankle brace help? Or would it be better to keep running and letting my muscles and tendons strengthen on their own? Thoughts, anyone?

Ice helps me. My right cankle (what else would I call it) hurts every time I increase. I just ice it and then rest it for a couple of days.0

Have you been fitted for shoes at a running store? the right shoes can make a big difference. And if you have a 1/2" leg difference you might consider a lift in one shoe but I would consult a doc on that first0
