Wanted: Newbie mountain biking pals!

I just discovered that I was listed as a First Place Finisher in my category on the USA Cycling website results for the Slaughter Pen Jam last fall! There had been some confusion about my category so I wasn't originally listed that way. Yes, I was the only entry in my category (hence the first place finish), and yes, it took 4 hours, but- note that I was the Only Woman my Age and weight class to even SHOW UP and FINISH the race! It was my first- ever mountain bike race! Which goes to show you that ANYONE can do this - no excuses! I would LOVE to have a buddy join me - it's a blast, riding in the woods, like a kid. Please let me know if you'd like to go try it out one weekend! All you need is a bike, any kind. Places to go- Slaughter Pen in Bentonville, Hobbs State Park near Rogers, Lake Fayetteville, Devils Den south of Fayetteville, Lake Leatherwood near Eureka Springs.
