My plans for my spring marathon fell through. For a number of reasons, I am not going to find another in the spring, we are looking at a fall marathon now. I was about half way through the training and ran a half marathon two weeks ago.
I have a rolled over registration from a previous year to a half marathon around the same time my marathon was supposed to be so looks like now I can do it. I'm not sure where to go with training. It's about 10 weeks away, give or take a week or two. Normally I would follow a training plan but the only ones I find build distance and I'm not sure it's the best plan to drop back to shorter long runs.
Any suggestions on training from here? Obviously the goal is to get faster.
ETA - I was following a Hal Higdon plan. Intermediate 1 or 2. Can't remember off the top of my head.

You could switch to the Higdon advanced training plan for HM where the focus is on building speed. That's probably what I would do. Interested to see what others say.0
