Hi there,

I'm 32 married with 3 children. I started on the C25K programme last autumn and lost 1/2 stone but developed an abdominal hernia at Christmas and have been unable to run since plus have had to cut down on my normal walking activity at the weekends as it's become painful to walk too far (over a couple of miles). I've now put on a stone as I gave up on the dieting.

Having got back on the scales yesterday and seen the horrific weight I've got to, I've decided to diet again. We're also renewing our wedding vows in 2014/5 so want to get into a nice dress (I was pregnant when we got married) without having to hide the flab.

Any tips for the weight loss gratefully received, and if anyone has had an abdominal hernia before and managed to exercise in some way please let me know. Hopefully I will get my op in a couple of months and then I can restart the C25K programme again as I really miss running.

Hiyah feel free to add me.

I try to be on everyday. If you log everyday and watch what you are eating you can definately be where you want this time next year. I do spinning once a week and then find an exercise each day on fitness blender.com which is free. DId you double check with your docs or specialist re whatyou can and cant do before you start exercising, as i dont have any knowledge re hernia. You dont want to hurt yourself further. I also try not to think of this process as dieting, as somehow it just sets me up to fail from the start. Good luck.

    Hi,

I'm 32 but haven't gone down the kids route yet.

Although I'm not doing C25K I'm trying my first 5k distance today to see how much of it I can jog.

Feel free to add me if you like. x
