We finally got all caught up last night. Angels Take Manhattan was wonderfully awful.
I sat on the couch sobbing while hubby tried not to sob. Someone needs to slap Steven Moffat. With a big stick! :grumble:

One of our cats actually watches Doctor Who with us. He hears the theme music and comes running to get onto one of our laps to watch. He very intently watches the TV for the entire episode. After Angels Take Manhattan he made a kitty hurumph sound, jumped down and got in his bed. My poor Elliot!

Knowing Clara will be the new companion, her "dying" at the end of Snowmen really wasn't that upsetting.

    Spoilers, sweetie LOL

(Just in case someone else reads this who hasn't got to the eps yet....)

I love the Whovian cat... that's awesome LOL

Actually, if you think about it, it would be easy for the Doctor to go get them... so he can't get back to that year because of all the difficult timey-wimey stuff... so why doesn't he just go to the year after... or a few years after that?

After all, they're both used to waiting around for years....

...but then, there are a lot of episodes that don't make much sense LOL

BTW... you might like this :D

Good point on the spoilers. If we discuss episodes, especially mopre recent ones, we should put potential spoiler in the thread title. We watched seven seasons in seven months. I think once you get the WHo bug, you plow through the instant view on Netflix as fast as you can. I am almost sad we're caught up. But we can always watch the whole thing again.

Oh, and that book will be waiting for me on my kindle as soon as I get a wifi connection. Thank you!

LOL I did three seasons in about two months... one ep on average a night... I'm rewatching seasons six and seven before the second part of seven starts on the 30th. Am up to The Girl Who Waited and I'll probably watch that tonight. I've seen them all already but I want to watch them again.

I want to go back to Nine and watch them all again. I also want to watch Torchwood & Sherlock.
We have too many regular shows and do not have a DVR.
UGH! I hate watching TV and we keep adding shows.

Torchwood was okay... like an X rated X-Files LOL But it got a bit stupid, especially during the second season when they were all trying to jump into bed with each other. I skipped about five episodes in the second half of the season because I got bored and frustrated with it.

I watched the last couple of episodes and I saw Children Of Earth - which was very, very creepy. It's unusual for me to say that because I'm not usually weirded out by stuff... but if you've got kids, you'll find it disturbing. Just so's you knows.

Haven't seen the Starz version of the show that got produced here in the US but I heard it wasn't that great....

    Really?

First Season of Torchwood, and then go right to Sherlock.

    No no no.

Skip Torchwood. Go right to Sherlock. Now.

    Then go watch Torchwood.

It's only six episodes, all on Netflix instant view. One would think we'd be watching this. Nope. We went back to the beginning of the 9th Doctor. Hmmm, I don't like Rose as much as I thought I did.

LOL Yeah, I never quite liked Rose. Not sure why. I mean, she was okay... but I did like the whole alternate-timeline thing with her Dad being a rich entrepreneur...

I think I liked the Ponds best. And honestly, although Martha's mooning over X was a bit, you know, *meh*, I didn't mind her. I found Donna to be a tad annoying but she could be funny :)

This was actually pretty good. A very quick read. It helps if you have watched up to Angels Take Manhattan to get all the references, but there aren't any real spoilers if you have not. You don't even need to be a Doctor fan, but again, you'll miss the references and inside jokes.

I am looking forward to Summers Fall coming out tomorrow.

I'll have to let you know. It won't be out on kindle until 4/4. I pre-ordered it this morning. It is the book the little boy Clara is a nanny for was reading. It is written by Amelia Pond. Clara it was good and asked him what chapter hs is on. He told her Ten. Clara said Evleven is the best. You'll cry your eyes out.
