Where do we go for the best selection of locally grown and organic foods?
I know there are Farmers Markets around in summer time.
What do we do the rest of the time?

Sprouts and Whole foods are good sources. Super markets do tend to go national, even international to get stuff in season.

The Fort Collins Food Cooperative (they're currently in Old Town, but planning a move to a larger location) would be my first choice for that. They're pretty well hooked up with the local farmers, and have a nice selection of whole food bulk items and organics.

Second choice would be Vitamin Cottage / Natural Grocers - they are pretty strict about what they stock, so it's "easy" to get stuff there.

On a budget Sprouts is good, but read labels - they are health/organic/local themed, but the operation is still "budget supermarket" so some stuff is questionable.

Whole Foods/ Whole Paycheck - nice selection, generally careful about what they carry, but the prices can live up to to their nickname.

(I know this is probably a bit late for the OP, but should be helpful for anyone reading this in hopes of finding out more.)
