How do you set a goal weight? I am 5'4" 40 yrs old and now 218 pounds. When I find a goal weight calculator online it says 160. I think that is rather high.

I have never liked goal weights. We worry about what we look like. For the most part, scales don't matter much. It's nice to have a number to shoot for, but in reality it doesn't matter. I think 5' 4 160 is on the high side but depends how much muscle you have and what your goals are.

Yes, a number is nice to shoot for. I want to lose the weight and the fat. I don't want a lot of muscles but I want to not have fat anymore. Right now I'm doing Jillian michaels body revolution. I have recently learned I can do anything if I have short goals. So my goal right now is all 90 days no matter what. Then I would like to redo the 90 day program all the way through with out stopping on part of the video (there is some jump that I can do the jump for about 20 seconds then have to stop and then finish with them the last 10sec of the jump).

I want to get the weight off, build some muscle while doing it and then define the muscles.

Yes you can do anything you want to do. Set your sights on 160. That would be an awesome end goal. Make a short easier to obtain goal for the short term. If you reach your end goal and don't think you are finished yet, set a new one :) Persistance and patience are key!
