I'm loving my doing SL 5x5 ... And I do cario x3 week too ... I have been eating at tdee -15% ... I want t look great ..!! 44 in October .!! Don't care what the scales say ... If. Drop a dress size I shall be happy .. I'm uk 12 a mo ... Am I doing the right thing by lifting and having a deficit in my calorie intake ..?? Just been reading another thread which says as a newbie lifter ill lose a tad of weight but as I'm not eating a surplus I sin build much muscle .. I really ont av that much to lose and as I said apply to just go down a Dress size to a uk 10 ..

Lifting will make sire you lose fat targets than muscle and since muscle is more sense than fat, what you keep will be both smaller &firmer, than if you'd lost muscle & fat. So yes, dropping a dress size on that regime should be completely possible.0

Apologies about the typos! I was tired, and it seems autocorrect had a field day while I wasn't looking. Hopefully you can still get what I was trying to say!0

Yes you'll be fine. The scale won't move as quickly as it would with cardio, but lifting is the healthier way to lose weight in my opinion even though the changes take longer.
I lift on a small deficit and my body is sloooooowly changing. You just have to be patient with it.0 -
