mothers!

I'm 40 years old. I run a house, hold down a job, care for my husband, look after 4 kids, including two disabled ones, cook healthy meals every day and work out 5-6 days a week to keep myself fit(ish) and healthy, walk/cycle with the kids each day to set a good example to them, and help with homework as and when required. On balance, I feel that I am pretty grown up, sensible and organised.

So why is it, that when my mother comes visiting, I revert to a sulky 14 year old with a horrendous eating disorder?

anyone else have this problem?

All I can say is that my mother does NOT bring out the best in me either. Sorry I don't have any advice, but I can totally understand.
