Day 38: What calms you down when you’re stressed out?

Day 38: What calms you down when you’re stressed out?

Hhmmm, my first thought isn't food, so that's a good thing I guess. I'm not sure, usually just time. If its my kids making me crazy, a little space, time away at the grocery store alone usually helps. Work stress usually requires a change in scenery, like if I'm stressed at work, that won't change till I go home. My husband is super mellow, he helps keep me focused and not out of control when I'm being irrationally stressed sometimes.

Day 38: What calms you down when you’re stressed out?

Usually several things: A back rub from my hubby. My cat sitting in my lap and me petting her. A bath and soothing music. Going to the beach and enjoying the the beauty and sound of the ocean. Sitting in my easy chair and meditating and yoga to name a few.
  • Taking a bath, relaxing, reading a book outside with a nice big diet coke (I know, I know). And food honestly helps at first but makes me apprehensive in the end.

Time to myself calms me down. I like to be alone in my room singing to music or watching TV and cruising the internet on my laptop. Being able to have the time to reflect on my own gives me a sense of peace.

I also like sitting in the living room with my mom, and just watching TV and chatting.

And sometimes all I need is a good cry and a nap.
