SMASHED IT!!

I'd love to have a special place for our new achievements and PR's (Personal Records.) So I'm starting one!

I've loved reading these about Donniesaurous' progress, on the "Introduction" section.

Way to smash it, Donniesaurous!

I can now jog 4.4k in 28 minutes! I've got another jog today and I'm going to push for another 100m!!

Smashed it! just shy of 4.6k in 28 minutes! though I'm going to ease up again on Friday, it was a hard slog at that pace!

So it took you the same amount of time to do 4.6km as it did when you did 4.4km, awesomeeeee stuff

yeah on Monday I was unsure of what pace I could manage for 28 minutes as it was snowing and high wind, but by the final 5 minutes I stepped it up and realised I could have pushed more.

so today, less snow and less wind I knew I could push myself that little bit harder from the start, and I made it to the end but it was probably a slight push too far as I was exhausted!

    Cool

Your picture is it really a hill and if so is it as steep as it looks or is it actually flat but how the camera is positioned. I can't quite work it out.

WOOT! Glad to have this group!

Today I ran 4 miles straight (11:04 pace) which is the first time I have ever run 4 miles without any walking! I FEEL like a runner finally! :)

It is really that steep, 31%. It's the Westernport Wall on the SavageMan Triathlon course in western Maryland. My son shot the pic when he and I were training on the hill. On race day, if you make it up the hill in one try, you get your name engraved on a brick in the road. He and I both got one :drinker:

That's fantastic!! I will always remember the first time I ran 4 miles straight. I had been running 2, and planned to do 3 by running half a mile past my usual turnaround, but was feeling good and ran a whole extra mile before turning. O.M.G. In church the next day I couldn't get up and down (kneeling.) I walked down stairs backwards for a week.

Terrific job on your new distance!

Twoboysnmygirl -- you inspired me. I went out and ran 4 miles. I walked a minute after every three, b/c that's how I do it nowadays, but I covered 4 miles, farthest in quite a while. I've been in sort of a slump. Thank you for getting me out the door!

I'm classing this as a victory, basically I did my first Half Marathon Sunday and have another next week so needed a short jog to remind my legs that it couldn't relax yet. So I only went for 2.8miles/4.5km in 21mins but the achieve ment was keeping under 7.45minute miles. Not bad for aching legs.

5K on Papio Trail with our JRT(Jack Russell Terrier). Walked it in 51 minutes. Had a headwind going out, when in Nebraska is there not a headwind?

Husband and I went to DC today for our run. I needed flat course due to thighs hurting a bit still. Georgetown along the waterfront, past the Kennedy center,Lincoln memorial,WWII memorial,Washington monument and a turn around at the steps of the Capitol. little more than 8 miles. With a dog! 1 hour 29 minutes. This includes stopping to pick up doggie business twice and two human potty stops!

JGainingHealth I was feeling pretty good about my 5k last night until I saw your pace. Way to go! I did my 5k in 28 minutes. I believe I ran 32 minutes total, just getting in a short run. Don't remember what mileage I ended up with though, just over 3.5 miles I believe.

Thanks guys :) And that's still an awesome time kaperlinger!!

Got in another 4.3 mile run today at the same 8:30 min/mile pace! My first mile was actually 8:13, but then I slowed down so as to not kill myself. My legs are looking and feeling stronger already!

The fastest mile I've ever ran was 6:42 in high school. I was really tiny then so I doubt I'll ever be that fast again, but I'd like to see how close I can get.

I killed my old pb on my 5k today (It was my first one, so it wasn't hard ;) ). I ran my 5k in 27:18. I feel like it wasn't too shabby for only starting 8 weeks ago :).

WhooHOOOO!!! Great distance and pretty darn fast as well!
Me, today I did my longest distance since last August, 6.2 miles, 10K. Not a race, just a distance. Ran/walked 4/1minute cycles.

Awesome work, 9minute mile for 10miles great stuff. You'll be down to around 8minute miles in no time at all, keep up the top work :)
