Personal Trainers

Since we just talked about personal trainers over on Corporette, I thought I'd post this here. I just started, last night, with a new personal trainer. Since taking that 6 week course of prednisone last year and gaining a bunch of stress weight (about 15lbs), I just haven't felt well. I've stayed with my spinning routine, spinning 2-3 times per week, but that was just not doing it for me.
So...last night I had my first session with my personal trainer. I printed out 2 weeks worth of logs from my fitness pal (which was really helpful) and he said my diet was totally fine, but I should probably add some protein since I'm going to be working harder.
I also have a tendency to pass out when I push too hard, being prone to vasovagal syncope (basically term for random fainting), so I made him aware of that. The last time I tried out a personal trainer I pushed way too hard and ended up sitting down in a corner, and passing out from there. So...the trainer proceeded to measure my body fat...which, the last time I had it checked was ok but a little high. Well, now it's into the "obese" category and I almost broke down right there. So we get into the workout, and I'm fine for the first 40 minutes, and in comes the dizziness. I let him know I was dizzy and went to grab water and sit down, and he said "nope, go lay down on the mat and put your feet straight up in the air." So I did, and he ran through some stretches with me and it immediately went away.
1000 points to the trainer that actually knows how to deal with my fainting goat problem! (There are these goats that pass out when you scare them....google it, its hilarious I promise.) So we got past that and finished up the hour with no problem! It turns out he has a PT / sports therapy background, and has been doing this for 18 years. He really seems to know his stuff.
I'm supposed to meet with him 2x per week for the next few weeks, and he has me spinning 2x per week and on the treadmill 3x per week in addition to that. Fine with me. At this point I've decided it is worth the money to have someone help me with a real training program.
Anyone else have a personal trainer story?
