I started c25k February 1 and completed it March 23. Now I can jog 5k in 35 minutes. I registered for my first 5k for April 27 and I want to work on my time.
What is the best way to improve time/speed? Running longer distances or doing interval running? I have the 5k improve app which is intervals - 300m run as fast as you can, 100m walk, second week 400m and 100m and so on.
thanks for your help in advance

Speed work, absolutely. Interval training is your friend.

Speed work. I do hills here for it, but it really helps my times.

    Thank you both :)
How often should I do interval training. I tried to do it every day last week, I was exhausted.

I do one day a week interval training at the track and one of my short runs at near race pace. But really, it's only once a week - but it's an intense session.
