April mile challenge?

Is anyone interested in doing a mile challenge for April? I know there is one over on the fitness thread but I thought since we are all in the same age group we might do one of our own. I like to walk/run but there are days that I either can't or don't want to do those so I do the bike or elliptical. My suggestion is to set a goal for the month & then each day post what you did. We could post our miles each day & at the end of the week post the totals for the week. And at the end of the month see how we did?
The other fitness threads are fine & I don't mind a challenge over there but seriously a 25 yr old is going to out run or out swim me & I'll just get discouraged. With us I'd rather it be more of a motivation. We need to prove to ourselves (and others) that we can do this regardless of our age & physical limitations.
So I suggest we choose what miles we are going to log. These are my ideas:
Queenbea77 - Run, Walk, Bike, Elliptical & Swimming. I think either inside or outside is acceptable. And even though its not "miles" I would also like to add "strength training for 30 minutes = 2 miles. I am trying to get in the routine of doing weights each week & think it should be included. Also, since some people don't go to a gym lets make the "strength training" to include resistance bands, dumbells or kettleball.
Anybody want to join me? Please feel free to add any suggestions. I am going to post a thread to start on Monday. I'm going to be here on April 1st so I look forward to seeing some buddy's!!
Quick question - I've done these challenges before with an "outside log sheet". You know - you click a link & it takes you to a spreadsheet where you log your data. Does everyone know how to use these? I'm going to try to set one up. If anyone knows how to do it let me know in case I can't do it. It will make it easier to track our progress & we will be able to quickly add new members & use it again next month.

Sure! I guess it's you & me for now. Maybe we'll get some more people as the month progresses.
Decide how many miles you want to try for. I've put a few suggestions at the beginning of this post for ways to get your miles - feel free to use my ideas or if you can think of any new ones post them here. I've found it easiest to just copy your days & paste them to your post but you can do it however you like.

Good for you! I haven't had my golf clubs out for years - I lost all of my golf buddies but I'm going to pull them out once the weather dries up so I can get back into the groove! LOL

:happy: Final post for the month of April - it was a slow start and because several of my classes at the gym were cancelled and I've been having foot pain I had my doubts that I would be able to reach 100 miles - but I did it!!
