Really disappointed!

I just got back from vacation. I fell right back into my old ways. I ate like a pig, almost to the point of feeling sick at every meal! I would feel miserable after and exhausted and told myself each day of vacation that the next day I would get back on track, but I never did. I gained 7.2 lbs in 10 days! I didn't even think that was possible. Right now I feel kind of like giving up. Being back to work gives me no energy to workout or do anything. Plus I feel like I am starving since I filled my belly with such junk during the week. I am so disappointed in myself. I truly believe food is an addiction more than ever!

Food is definitely an addiction, especially if you enjoy it as much as I do. But don't give up! All is not lost; You've accomplished amazing weight loss. Change up your routine a bit if you can-take a walk in the park, a new workout vid, or just put on some music and dance for an hour. We all hit rough patches; I'm in one now myself, but we can do this! Hang in there!

Don't beat yourself up. First most of your weight is probably water retention. Junk food is loaded with sodium. It should come off fast. Tell yourself "That was a great vacation but its time to eat healthy again". Its not what you've done but what you are doing now that that will make you a success!

I feel ya girl.... I am in a rough patch of lose gain lose gain..... I ate HORRIBLY this weekend and I won't look on the scale (that should tell you how scared I am).... But I told myself enough.... I am focusing on being right with my body and not with the scale... I made a goal to not weigh myself until Friday and let my body get rid of what needs to be rid of so I don't get too discouraged... The thing I want to master is to make good choices and learn to limit and even say NO to temptation.. This will need to be learned over time but I know it will get me there..

don't loose hope... Take each day one and a time... Work out hard when you and change it us... maybe on the not soo motivated days take a short walk or even turn on the music (this makes me clean and before I know it I burned around 100 cal)

I am right where you are and i know the struggle... Maybe take a week off the from the challenge and come back on week 4 stronger than ever :)

Don't give up! You also have to check if you are in certain point of your hormonal cycle (For me, 2 weeks before and "the week" are terrible, I gained more and for sure I crave for everything!) Give yourself a break with workout if you don't have energy, just focus on your diet, get back to your good diet habit, you will be amazed how fast that 7.2 lbs will melt away :-) Then start back your exercise routine when you're ready :-)
This happens to me few weeks ago, I gained 4+ lbs as I couldn't stop eating. I just started with a healthy meal (salad) per day, then, slowly get back on track. Now I've lost that 4+ lbs and definitely feel good about not quitting at that time!
    Take care!

Your sugar levels may be out of whack from all that vacation food. load up on the protein. Protein will slow the absorption of sugar into the blood and level you out and reduce your cravings. Also drink a lot of water to flush it out.

Cinnamon and sweet potatoes will help your levels as well. Try to use cinnamon whenever you can. on Apples, Sweet potatoes etc.

Sounds like you may also be stressing out. Up your vitamin B. Wlhen your body stresses out your vitamin b depletes. this causes your metabolism to slow up.

Don't give up and don't beat yourself up. Todays another day just brush yourself off and keep going. You have done an amazing job already keep going.

Stay Positive! I was just through a rough 2 weeks where I almost gave up because it felt hopeless, I wasn't losing weight and it was hard to stay motivated.I've gained 2 lbs the last 2 weeks of this Memorial Day challenge. But you really need to just keep moving forward when things are rough and look for the support you need to get through it. You can do it!!

It's okay, just get back on track. I went home for Easter weekend and gained 4 lbs. I haven't been getting motivation to track calories and exercise this week. I need to get back in the zone. It is a tough battle at times. At least you enjoyed your vacation. You can work hard now to lose that weight.
