Color Me Rad 5 K - June 16

I've registered for the Color Me Rad run on June 16th. I've never done a 5K. I started training last week, running a mile every other day trying to pick up my speed. Has anyone here run a color run or have any suggestions for a successful run?

    That looks like a really fun run!

    Not sure how to prepare for a race where people toss colored corn starch : ) but for other runs, couch to 5k is a great program for working up to running a 5k.

    Run/walk alternate from what I have been told. I haven't been in a 5 K yet but plan on that in the near future.. You may want to check out these cool 5K's also... 5 K Foam Fest, Glow Run 5K and the color run 5K..

    I wanted to run in the Color me Rad run in Baltimore but it is already full!!!

    I believe the one in DC/Alexandria is still open.
