All of you may do this already. I saw it on Facebook/ backyard homesteaders. If you buy hearts of romaine lettuce, as I do, you can put the bottom part that you cut off in a glass jar with about an inch of water and it will almost immediately start to grow new leaves. If I knew how to post a picture on here I could show you how much mine grew in one day. Almost an inch of new leaves. Awesome!
