Lent and MFP

So, this was my first Lenten season on a diet. I am so happy to say that this Lent, I was able to overcome my most destructive habit. I gave up late-night eating (I vowed to eat nothing after 9 PM). I have struggled with incredible cravings every night for about 20 years, even waking up at night and not being able to go back to sleep until I ate. It was only with the grace I received during this Lent, that I was finally able to overcome this problem.

On the flip side, I have always dreaded the fast days of Lent. They were pure torture to me. The discipline that I've learned by logging my calories on MFP made the fast days almost easy for me. I credit the virtue of self control that I have been developing over the past few months.

God is so good. He knows our strengths and weaknesses and can use any circumstance to help us growO. (Or shrink, as the case may be!) Easter blessings to you!
