    I live 2 blocks from the Hudson River. I love biking along it.

    But I haven't touched my bike in ages. :(

    Bicycling was crucial to my 77 lbs lost. I rode my ____ off. I rode up and down the Saw Mill River Bike trail countless time. I have ridden the west side promenade also many times. And I love crossing the GW brodge and going to the henry hudson drive in the interstate park and riding around in there.

    I have a few suggestions for those of you that want to go on some nice rides for the summer. here is one for now.

    first, the west side promenade leads to all the ferries. The governors island ferry is free of charge. Any saturday one can ride down the west side and take the ferry to governonr's island whrere there are usually some events going on. you can make it an all day trip where you just ride and ride and enetertain yourself with the sites, and burn the calories. I think I burned more than 2000 calories that day.

    Oh really? Thats awesome. I have a new camera and Ive been wanting to just take my bike and go on a random adventure, maybe I'll do that and get lost for the day!

    I never knew that ferry was free and Ive never been to Governors island.. I think its time to fix that.

    governor's island is closed until late may, so hold off on going there :ohwell:

    Damn it. I think I might go to Roosevelt Island though, its pretty nice.

    I've never done a ride to roosevelt island and i used to ride to my job there very often. LOL! !!

    I am doing the 5 boro bike tour this sunday.

    I think the Bronx River pkwy is open for bikes on sunday and every sunday up to september
