There is nothing you can do between now and then to improve your time, but there are lots of things you can do to make it worse. One of them is trying to train through the fatigue brought on my a stomach virus. Rest. I would run a real easy 3 or 4 the day before the race to loosen things up, but I would rest today and Friday.

I read your message a little too late. I did go for a very easy 4 mile run yesterday and I was exhausted afterwards. and my nausea seemed to get worse. I am going to take today off and go for a very easy short run or walk tomorrow. Anything I should eat/take the day of the race? I was going to take immodium anyway.

When I first started racing, my stomach always got upset prior to the start. I always took and Imodium and it kept me from pooping my shorts. Might be worth taking if your GI is messed up, though I usually don't advocate trying anything new on race day.
