Hello

I just joined this site & am I glad there is an over 50 group on here. I am 55 & never had to worry about my weight until I hit 50! Dieting is new to me & extremely hard so I can use all the support I can get! I am 5'9" & hit 190lbs. People tell me I don't look fat but I think they are just being kind. I am a size 14 & would like to be a size 10 again. I don't like the gym atmosphere but love being outdoors. I could use some tips on how to get rid of my stomach fat. Thanks! I hope to make some friends here!

    Welcome! I have only been a member for about a month myself. So far I am doing well with an 11 pound loss and at least 30 or more to go.
    Don't listen to what your friends say, you are right to think they are probably being kind. Anyway, it's best to go with what YOU think and what will make YOU happy.

    Thanks for the reply! I didn't do very good over the weekend, but still managed to lose a few. I need to go food shopping tonight so I have healthy choices to pick from. The weather is finally nice so I have no excuse for not getting out & walking - which by the way burns lots of calories!

    It is still cold grey and raining here in the thumb of MI. I'm looking forward to seeing green and warm enough temps to go to the park where I can walk. I'm in the country and there is no place to walk close. I plan to drive a few miles to a park that has a paved walking path. But as of now, we still have snow in the forcast this week! Ugh...it's been a long, long winter.:brokenheart: :brokenheart: :sad:
