Man, I go out of town for a few days, and I miss all the eye candy.

Personally, I've found my taste in men changing now that I've started lifting. Granted as a large girl, I was never a fan of sticks; I'd break them giving them a hug. So, I usually like pudgier guys, and found big muscly guys "gross" (I actually have a feeling that was a subconscious way of explaining away guys that I felt were never obtainable).

Now that I've started lifting, I can appreciate muscles more. I have a feeling I'll never find the huge body builder type sexy (at least way over the top), but I'm really enjoying all the photos in this thread. In fact, the first time around, when I saw Thor, I didn't think he was that good looking. I saw it over christmas and enjoyed it much more (although he needs a haircut).

Granted, I'm still fat, so I don't know that I'd want a skinny guy. But, it's not a requirement that he's ripped. Sadly, I "rule out" cute guys at the gym with crappy form. So, I guess I'm looking for a guy willing to lift with me, with good form, and looking to improve his strength.
For drool-candy, Kevin Smith in his Ares days would do me just fine.
I was thinking the other Kevin Smith, and I was a little confused. Google cleared that up for me...

Sorry dude you probably didn't know you were going to spark a thread full of topless hot men.

That's what he gets for posting in a women's group.

As far a Hugh Jackman ... is there anything the man cannot do and look awesome while he does it? Seriously.

Also yay for R Downey Jr. Me likey. Way to make a comeback, mate. :flowerforyou:

I was almost EXACTLY the same as you - wasn't that into the muscles before, but I do think I subconsciously ruled them out because they were out of my league (the league in my head....) Now that they're not, me likey. Lots. Like if I was single... ohhhh if I was single. If I was single I would be having a WONDERFUL. TIME.

I also am NEVER attracted to guys in relationships so I'm pretty sure my subconscious is just spectacular at turning that on and off when I identify someone as 'available to me'

Also - you're pretty much gonna have to do what I do and train one up in the weight room yourself. There are TONS of guys in my weight room and only like 3 or 4 that are legit doing it right.

Most ladies like the NCR Physique division. That is the perfect body. The body builders are interesting but not sexy at all IMO

    this!

Legs. Butt. A hint of abs. That about covers it for me.
  • I used to feel a little embarrassed about having a big protruding butt, but know I feel better.

I like a guy who looks like he keeps himself in shape and doesn't spend every waking moment working on how he looks.

To me certain bodybuilder types send out a signal of "hey, look at how self-absorbed and vain I am!"

    Not sexy.

And let's not even talk about the balloon look some of them have going on. I prefer a guy with a beer gut to that, honestly.

Of course that's my personal opinion based on taste and preference. Which is what you asked for, eh? So there ya go.

Now, having said all that, I really like a guy who works his tail off for his family, throws his strength into the ring to protect those in his care, is faithful and loyal and has integrity as well as a sense of humor. And more than a couple brain cells to rub together so you can actually have an intelligent conversation with him. That's what I married anyway, and I'm quite enjoying it. :drinker:

    Yep. That. :drinker:

Steroids depend a lot on what you do with them, using them for strength is a different look than using them for size.

But they tend to make people act like jerks. Women will always tell you they do not like jerks. (Even though lots of them end up dating them anyway)

I cannot for the life of me find it now, but someone who's opinion I respect (wendler?) had a write up on them once. The short version is - steroids are for people that have already made all their easy gains and are now fighting for more, and only for people who understand all the physical side effects and the commitment you have to make to using them. No one just does 'a round or two' and gets effective results.

But anyway judging from the answers you got here I'd guess women would say "ew steroids, no!" but women also find major league baseball players very attractive so I call shenanigans on that.

Ha, I was basing my answer off of guys typically "freaking out" and the typical roid rage issues that we were lectured about in high school. I don't know if they are true or not. I guess I could find someone on steroids attractive, but that doesn't mean I'd want to date them. (And what's the point of looking good if you're perpetually dumped for being a ****?)

I could only take someone seriously who used steroids if they were serious (very very competitive) about their training. I don't think that describes very many people.
