Seriously need some support!

I've been having symptoms of PCOS for years, but I didn't notice how bad it was until I stopped taking birth control last June and all hell broke loose! Mood swings, 30+ lb weight gain, irregular periods, out of control acne, etc.
I went to my first endocrinologist in December who was just the worst.. seriously led me to believe she had no idea what she was doing. She handed me a half empty glucometer kit without showing me how to use it or giving me any guidance whatsoever. Decided I didn't want to go back to her, so I saw my regular GYN who referred me to a second endo. Made an appointment with them and waited an entire month only to find they LOST MY APPOINTMENT on the day of. Then acted like it was my fault even though I had the person I spoke to/time/etc. all written down! Needless to say, I wasn't going there.. Went back to my GYN who said although she thinks I do have PCOS, she's uncomfortable prescribing Metformin for fear my sugar would go too low since she only had fasting numbers for me, no diary.. She explained to me how to create the blood sugar diary and then gave me a number for ANOTHER endo.. Made my appointment.. May 7. Another month.
Needless to say, I'm at my wit's end here. I'm keeping track of what I eat, TRYING to exercise without feeling like I want to fall asleep, and then starting tomorrow I'll keep a sugar diary for a week with my glucometer so I have more information for my new endo in May. The symptoms I am really having the most trouble with at the moment is the insulin resistance and the fatigue. Everything else generally went away when I went back on birth control. (I don't get a period regularly still, but I don't know that I care right now.) I'm not sure what the answer to all of this is, but I'm feeling horrible and could really use some support from other people who understand!
Please add me if you are an awesome, supportive 'Cyster' with lots of good advice to share. I would appreciate it so much!

I'm sorry you are going through all of this. When I went off of birth control last may I gained 35 lbs in 5 months so I understand how you are feeling about that. I hope that you get in with a good endocrinologist soon and can get on some metformin it has helped me a lot in the 2.5 months I've been on it.0

I am sooo sorry to hear about your misfourtune with the Dr's .. but don't give up. I would say to help with the symptoms of IR ( Insulent Resistance... I can say from my experience cinnamon tablets (pills) helps 500mg 3times a day. This might help till you can get a doctor you can trust. It can be purchased anywhere.
Just a thought.
Add me ... If you want.... I can be support or a ear or shoulder....
