So I'm sat here chowing down on my lunchie-poos at work having had my morning snacks and breakfast.
I've been having trouble with my tummy recently and so trying a fiber filled breakfast to see if that helps, if not I don't know what is!
Anyway, morning snack consisted of 2x mini cookies. Not real bad cookies though, but they are blooming delicious! I got them off a thread on here somewhere.. it's in my topics
But it's basically 2x overripe bananas, 1cup oats. That's it. Mash all together and bake in oven for 15-17 mines on gas 4/350F. Amazing. I added about 50 grams of dark chocolate to the whole batch just to add something. they're very chewy but it's just like eating a cookie!
And then som salami and jacob's salt and pepper flatbreads (my new love)
None of the above is particularly unhealthy I wouldn't say.
So now I'm chowing down on my lunch of:-
1/2 red pepper
1/2 yellow pepper
each stuffed with turkey mince, onions (1/2 onion) and 1/4 can cannellini beans. Turkey mince totals about 220g as half a packet.
That is pretty darn healthy, even with my thin slice of cheese on top of each pepper.
And because it's so healthy I am rather puzzled! I'm browsing MFP and bodybuilding forum for more inspiration from beautiful ladies who lift, and I'm getting full from my lunch. Now i have this overwhelming sense that I'm eating a lot of food and I'm going to see no changes in my body.
I am aware that is stupid. The food i am eating is healthy, but I'm just full so getting that fat feeling.
So.. all im saying is.. being full up is good right? HAHA! I'm not overeating on calories at all, this llunch is just massively filling.
Trying ti reassure myself that I need this amount of food to get me through my workout tonight! I've got 62.5kg squats, 27.5kg ohp and 70kg deads, so i definitely need lots of food in my belly! But I'm just feeling massively full and far right now...
Oh the joys

One thing I love about my massive salads for dinner is that I feel super full and "stuffed" all for about 500 calories. You can take it too far and cut out too much stuff that is "unhealthy" and end up under eating. If you literally ate a couple of pounds of veggies a day you would be super full but actually consuming very few calories.
You'll need to find the happy balance of eating enough calories to fuel your workouts, within a moderate deficit, and that you are not uncomfortably full or hungry.0 -
Ground turkey is pretty high in protein I think, peppers not so much.
I dunno, it's weird. Just needing to get my head round the fact that eating 500-600 cals of lean protein and veg is going to be much more filling than 500cals of a sandwich or pasta because, go figure, there's probably more food involved!
I just feel super full which my brain seems to interpret as fat and gross which makes me file like I'm not doing it right.
Stupid brain
Stupid stomach!
But what a delicious lunch!0 -
Your lunch sounds wonderful, I would have scarfed that down no problem. Lotsa protein and veg and fruit (protein and fibre) make for a full and satisfied belly. Overeating full and eating calories you need to fuel your body full are two different feelings....I think...yeah, when I binged, that was not comfortable...when I eat good food and feel full, it feels comfy...
p.s. just kick me if it sounds like I am talking in riddles, cos I re-read this and it sounds a bit...um...oops!0 -

It makes more sense than my original post! Seems to not actually go anywhere.
I don't feel uncomfortable like I do when I have a take away or something like that, I just feel full.... But it feels odd. Don't know if odd in a bad way..
Like I said. I make no sense!0
