Free baby slings.....

For anyone interested, just got a random Parents magazine & a website called sevenslings.com is currently offering "free" baby carrier/slings while supplies last if you use the code PARENTS4. The reason for the quotations is they don't charge for the sling, but they do charge almost $12 for shipping. Anywho, they have some pretty cute ones.

I got one and had to return it (you have to pay extra for the ability to return it in case you buy the wrong size, which is almost inevitable since they have many sizes, and the difference between each size is minimal), and then when I got the one in the right size, I didn't like it very much. This time I am much smaller than I was, so I'm betting that the sling will be too big for me to use :indifferent:

ETA that the instructions for return of the first sling (and paying for returns only allows you *one* return, so you better get the size right the second time!) were mega specific. Basically if a single thread was out of place, they'd reject the returned sling and send it back to you, at your expense.

I Googled it and found a bunch of stuff on it. I'll probably just use the cute fabric from mine for something else.

Between my experience and the myriad of bad experiences in the links above, I'd pass if I were you.

ETA that the review I highlighted here talks about the insane return instructions. The zipper also came off of the package on mine, and I thought I was done for. Thankfully I was able to get it back on without any damage to the packaging and had a successful exchange, except for the fact that I didn't really like the sling once I got it in the right size.

O wow! Well ok then I might should just delete this post so as to save anyone else the worry of dealing with it!!
