I've recently downloaded zombies, run and the 5k version. My fitness level is somewhere about halfway the 5k app. Is there any way to skip missions so I don't have to do 15 seconds of running for the first week while in reality i'm closer to 10 minutes running time? Or do I need to start the missions without actually running and wait till they finish themselves?

I went through the missions and jogged instead of walked, ran instead of jogged. You can still listen and get the story and just jog at your own pace through the first few missions. I'm about halfway through the 5k app and I've found that it's been great for increasing my endurance and speed.

Whatever you end up deciding on, keep in mind that if you skip missions, you will also miss out on that part of the story.

Also, I don't know if the 5k app will let you.

You could always just play the app, listen to the stories without actually DOING it. That's what I would recommend if you really want to skip ahead but don't want to miss any storylines.

I'd just listen to the missions while running at your pace, like lizpirate did.
If you just skip missions or play them without listening, you won't know what's going on in the story.

I found that my cardio level allowed me to jog more than the c25k app required so I just kept on jogging. Once the stretches and stuff came a few workouts in, I did them but went right back to jogging instead of walking. I still love every minute of it!
