Good Morning,
I had a thread going where I asked about strength training and this guy sent me a message with a workout (it's on Runner's World, but it's not just for runner's!) and it is one you can do at home. I just watched it and it is INCREDIBLE! I'm very excited about this because no more lifting weights at the gym! Yay! I hate lifting at the gym! And this workout looks incredible! Who is up for the challenge of doing this today? I guarantee that if you do this workout 2-3 times a week you are going to see major results!!! Here is the URL...
http://www.runnersworld.com/workouts/ironstrength-workout. Make sure you don't include the period when you copy and paste! I'm so excited because this is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm going to do it today and shoot for 3 x's a week and I'm hoping I can get someone to do it with me so we can share results...I want my behind to look like this:
Who's with me????

I'm getting ready to head to Yoga and I think today I am just going to walk afterwards. I'm not really sore today like I thought I would be but there are a few areas of me that are pretty stiff. I'll check out that link when I get back. I'd like to have stuff I can do at home too. I don't plan on continuing at this gym after my 2 months is up because it's too expensive so it will be nice to have things to continue with this summer at home.0

Wow, I just quickly watched it...if this workout doesn't kill you first, it should yield great results...lol...what a way to build muscle, endurance and strength!
I will try it starting Thursday...am going to the gym tonight for cardio...
Heck yes, I want my behind to look like that too...lol...or as close as my age will allow it...lol0 -
Wow! I just finished the workout! I had to modify it....
I didn't do any plyometrics! (jumping) Maybe I will be able to when I get stronger!
One leg squat..no..lol...I jumped on one foot 20 times (did 4 sets alternating w/ lunges)
Burpees...OMG...I did 6 sets of 5
Planks...30 sec. each
The workout took me one hour. It is incredible!0 -
I just watched the video, I may try it later if not I will tomorrow. That's a good home series especially for us that are also doing C25K0
