Hello.. so I just started SL's yesterday .. just a quick question. Do I start out with just the bar an add the weights or go with the bar and 45lb weights? I couldnt make it to they gym yesterday so I used the bar we have at home and did squats and overhead presses with 20lb weights on it.

    My personal advice would be to downward adjust according to what you're currently able to do, but not to go over the recommended starting weights unless you're an experienced lifter. The progression curve is very aggressive, and the light starting weights are there to help you focus on form at first, which is super important.
