I pay for both Netflix and Hulu plus. My problem is that everything I have been wanting to watch lately is not available on either one. Would any of you recommend Amazon's streaming video service that comes with a prime membership? If not is there something else you'd recommend? Other than downloading. I don't really have the time nor the patience (nor the hard drive space) for that.

I don't have Prime, but I'll do Amazon's pay-per-show a lot. You can stream it and then, if you want to download it later, you can.0

I have Netflix and Prime. I find that they overlap so much that I'm considering ditching one. (Definitely not Netflix until after the new Arrested Development though!)
What shows are you looking for, I can check and see if they're on Prime.
The biggest problem with most the streaming services except Hulu is it's nothing current. You have to wait a until the new season usually to get the last one. So if you want to stay current you're busted.
I've also found that a lot of times a network will stream a show on their own site for a week or two after air date.0 -
The nice thing about the pay-per-show streaming, even though it can get pricey if you get a lot of shows, is they have a lot of stuff the next day. I don't have BBC America so that's how I watch Doctor Who. All the AMC shows are up the next day too.
ETA: I have the Amazon streaming app on my blu-ray player, so I can watch on my TV. It's nice.0 -

I do the amazon pay per show (season pass) as well as having prime and netflix. There is different stuff on both but not EVERYTHING obviously. I don't mind paying for shows though - I actually want to support that model as much as I can because its my preferred method of watching TV.0

I have Amazon prime since I am an Amazon junkie and I love getting my crap within two days. I am not impressed with the video portion of Prime. I have yet to find something I was looking for. If I am browsing, I find stuff I wouldn't mind watching, but nothing that I was actually LOOKING for.
I have Hulu Plus and Netflix and I would NOT pay for prime. I only have Netflix because they have the best kids stuff. Hulu plus for me and the wife.
Before you say it, I know we have a lot of services. We don't have cable and we have our Amazon via student account.
I vote no on Amazon Prime subscription for video.0
