And you realise you can't remember how to do some of the moves. Eesh!
I'm performing on the weekend with a friend, just a casual daytime hafla but the first performance for a while, and I'm going to practice with her tonight, but dang, I can't remember some of the moves. Tunisian hip twist? Cross over steps to the corners? :frown: I can't remember!!

Bummer!!! It'll come back to you, I'm sure!! Sometimes we just need someone to jog our memories. Yay for getting back into dance! :flowerforyou:

I'm sure it'll come back. My friend says she has a video of it being performed, so perhaps we can work out what these cryptic notes mean!
    And yay, dancing!

Videos definitely help -- so long as you don't obsess over any of your mistakes! My teacher said she's been going through her very earliest performance videos and has been randomly alternating between horror and pride that she wasn't as bad as she feared.

I sympathize. I just started going back to dance. I was rather pleasantly surprised what i still remembered from some of the choreographies. Well I remembered until i started thinking about them and then it failed. The funny thing was I had tried to remember some of the choreos earlier taht day without music and couldn't get very far before being completely lost.

Fortunately the video helped us remember the cheeky cross step. We now both get stuck on the same place, but that's progress right?
