What Prompts Us to Get Back on the Wagon

After the wagon gave us bruises, we pick ourselves up....dust off the trail dust...run after the wagon (or wait and catch the next wagon)....and start again.

What prompts us to get back on the wagon?

I read this when you first posted and I've asked myself that question everyday for as long as I can remember. I do understand that it''s a mindset and one must make a true commitment for the long haul; I just find myself struggling with that very idea.
I've convinced myself that this is an impossible task because I've failed so often. Losing 130 lbs. has me asking myself if Id be around long enough to see it happen. Is that ridiculous or what? On one hand, I'm worried about whether or not there's a light at the end of the tunnel for me - enough time to get healthy. This is the very reason I should be on the wagon. One day I hope to figure this out and I wish you all the luck and determination,
