I will have my boys (16 & 18) do SL5X5 with me.

Should I have them record measurements? When they did Bodyweight Workouts last year we all took before/after pics. I was thinking muscle measurements might be good this time.

  • I personally do not care about measurements. I think this should be up to you and/or your kids. You might also want to use calipers and record those measurements too if you care to go that far.

If you WANT to but I wouldn't worry about it, the real progress will be visible in the increases in strength.

good valid points. They will have their notebook with their weight lifting progression to show their progress.
I might do calipers with myself- good idea.
My boys barely have any bodyfat, I recon. .. LOL.

do they have a smart phone? lots of apps to record lifts rather than notebooks if that isn't a homeschool requirement :)

I'd go with measurements, but then I'm something of an analytical data freak :-)

. I'll be doing measurements for me, but thinking on it now, I don't want to be in charge of measurements for 2 teenagers. I will suggest it and they can measure or not.

The 16 yr old might, but I doubt the 18 yr old wil
    . We'll see.
