Radiofrequency ablation for occipital nerve pain

I recently had this done after trying injections first and only getting short term relief and not meeting insurance restrictions (can only get so many per so many weeks/months) or for health/safety reasons (same thing, too many in a certain time frame). So far it is not working. Has anyone else had this done? Did it work for you? Dr said to give it 7-10 days before I judge it. I'm on day 7 and not feeling very optimistic.
