They have announced it as coming to the UK because while the only 2 dates this year are in England (and because they are American... hense the fact they cant put a U in colour too would mean creating a whole new company just for the UK... but still ggrr!) ... 2014 has them coming to Wales, Scotland and more places throughout England (the midlands has been promised one! yay) ... patience my friends :D (I've been following them trying to get over here for a while...)

I sooo want to do it but Manchester and London are both quite a trek for me, I have noone to do it with, and I'd hardly call myself a runner yet... but I started a C25K program which I stupidly then accidentally deleted the app so have to start over ggrr!! but I'd still be able to do it in time theoretically.... I'm still really really tempted....
I've been dying to do one ever since I started seeing the videos of the American ones appear on youtube .....

    Oh its a toughy ...
They havent announced prices yet (that i can see...) so maybe I'll let that be the deciding factor...considering I have petrol and parking to consider too

I would love to do this with my children. Has anyone seen the prices yet?

It's £25 plus £4.99 for p&p on the pack which has merchandise etc.

From the comments on their Facebook page, I think they're currently having issues with registering children and people have had to buy full-price tickets.

Saw this on facebook in answer to someone's question

The Color Run UK Hi Oliver, entries for children under 5 are free, then there is one entry fee for all after that.

So, it'll cost me almost £100. I'll be cheering you lot on from the comfort of my sofa  I don't wanna go on my own

    Hey :D
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me and my friends in a team? £2 cheaper to do it as a team...
know its not much when your paying nearly £30 but every penny helps...
Send me a message if you would like to, or wouldnt mind me and my friends joining your team :D

What happens if it rains? Does it become indistinguishable from a Mud Run?

I mean when, not if, obviously - one of them's in Manchester

Yes, I wondered this too. It's guaranteed to rain now, isn't it!

Also, someone just posted this link about The Color Run aftermath!

At least I have dark hair but I'll certainly be oiling it and taking plastic sheeting for the car!

I have just signed up for the Manchester one. I'm pretty unfit so have my work cut out. I don't plan to "run" the whole thing, I'll be happy with a time of about 45 minutes (I know its not formally timed).

I just have some practical things to sort out now, like how do I get home after - as nether the venue or the station have showers I am going to be getting on a train covered in paint.

Good luck to all the other runners!

YES! It was absolutely awesome! Even though it was super super hot, we had a great time. They had a fire hose at the finish area, which was the perfect antidote.

Will post pics if I can figure out how!
