Hi there - it works with the freebie Strava.0 -
I signed up to see how I get on, but, I know May wont be a big month as I will be training for my 54 mile walking challenge in early June.0
-
just hope I do better with this one than I did with the April "Spring Classics Challenge" - 74% complete, 2 days and 340km remaining - I'm not going to make it!0

I need to get in 119 km in the next 28 hours. Riding tonight see how many I can do. Weather stinks tomorrow plus 10 hours work day, will see what happens:glasses:0 -

I just synced all my Garmin rides and joined the challenge.

I'm this one and unlike the April Teams challenge I should be able to do OK. The snow as late as April 20th put a huge dent in my April miles.0
-
I know I won't be posting HUGE mileage in May, but I'll keep my mantra: be happy if you beat last month's total. See you folks on the road.0

was the best I could manage in the end...0 -
OK - brag time (I am being shameless here  )
Almost did not make it - finished the ride @ 10:30pm and only just made the required mileage 1319.5 km - 0.5km over :blushing:

I went out tonight to complete the challenge with my route planned for the 70km needed to finish it only to find that the road i was to go was closed for road works!
As i went on my detour which led me to some steep climbing on Barrs lane it had just started to rain, out of the saddle pushing up the hill i hit a dreaded wet grating the back wheel slipped and bang i hit the ground like a sack of spuds!
1 busted leg & 1 busted cosmic elite!
lovely
61km short
lesson learnt dont leave it until last minute!
Good luck on the May challenge everyone lets hope for some better weather0 -

Ouch! Hope you (and the bike) are OK!
Nowhere near the "Finisher" mark on Strava, but 16 miles to go to hit 400 for the month. Only problem is that the winds have kicked way up, talking gusts >40mph (again... ) and after the last windy adventure I'm questioning the intelligence of going out into that high of a wind. I took at double dose of rule #5 at lunch and will be reciting rule #9 as I ride, but in the end common sense may win. We'll see closer to quitting time.0 -
Sorry to hear this, harksy!! Hope nothing serious about your leg, and no scatch on your Scott!!
Is the cosmic elite repairable?0 -
Thanks for the heads up. Haven't done a challenge, MFP or Strava for far to long. Here ois to hoping I can get back a bit of what I lost.0

Question: where do you find the badges for the Spring Classics Challenge? Although I don't think I got enough in to qualify for one0 -

Another couple coming up in June...
Junedoggle - same as the May Massive (ride lots and get a badge every 250km)
