As someone late to the exercise party, I really want to stress to my fellow sloths that getting strong and fit can rock your world. It's not enough to lose weight (although that's an excellent start). But I haven't felt this comfortable in my skin in 15 years, I may never have been this balanced, and I've only just begun. For me, it's the pilates (and kettlebells) offered at Studio Lotus in Atlanta that are transforming me. Who knows what it is for you. Like we tell our kids, get out there and try a bunch of different things, decide what you like best, then commit to it. Your life will thank you!

I could not agree more! So glad I hopped on the bandwagon - at 38. Now I'm almost 45 and a completely different person. What I "like best" has changed over the years depending on my life situation, injuries, fitness levels, etc. Find what works for you!!! But really, one of the very best decisions I ever made.0

I'm trying, but I just can't seem to do it.
I can barely catch up to the bandwagon and every time I try to jump on board, it moves and I slip and fall on my face.
OK ... it's not quite that bad. But it's not easy. There are days when it's all I can do to get in my 7,000 Fitbit steps. And this week I fell short almost every day.
I am doing a little exercise each week, but it's always sporadic. A little here. A little there. I plan to keep plugging away until it comes natural ... or at least until I can do some cardio and some strength three times a week.0 -
I am on the band wagon, but from home using my wii, and internet classes from barre3.. I inject as much walking and standing as i can with my day and capture it all on my nike fuel band.0

I am enthusiastically on board. I started out hating exercise and having to be convinced that i had time to do 5 minutes a day. But, by working up gradually, finding what I like and getting to a place in my life where I have more time for myself, I have made the change. I try to mix what I like with exercise. For instance, using audiobooks on walks. That seems to help a lot.0

I have, but in a pretty lazy way. I bought a treadmill and set it up with a TV and connecter for my iPhone. I walk between 30 and 50 minutes, usually 6 days a week. But I watch Netflix while I'm walking! It keeps me from being bored, and if I start a movie one day, I'm anxious to get back to it the next day. I say, do whatever works to keep you doing it.0
