Day 1
I am 53 yrs old and extremely overweight. I have arthritis in my feet, knees, lower back and hands. Also, I have hypothyroidism and am post menopausal. I know the weight makes the joint pain worse and increases the amount of wear and tear in my joints. I HAVE to get some weight off! I am going to start tracking my food and exercise using MFP. I can do it!

    Yes, you can do it! And you will feel so much better with getting the weight off. I have bad knees, but losing some weight has made a world of difference for me. I'm not afraid of stairs anymore. :smile: Welcome to the group and good luck on your journey!

    I joined this March and recorded my meals. Then I didn't for a week and noticed my meals were slipping away. So my 1st lesson was to keep my food record. And you know it was a friend from MFP who got me back on track. So you have come to the right place. We know you can do it!
