OHP: Did I really just do that?

I started SL last Monday (after not lifting weights in 20 years) and I am loving it (on workout #4 today)!
No surprise, by far the most difficult for me is the OHP. I was able to do 5x5 with the empty bar last Wednesday (my first "B") but those last 2 reps were the hardest things I have ever done, ever. I thought there was no way I would be able to go up to 50 today.
My goal was 3x5 at 50, but I took the full 3 minutes between sets and nailed the 5x5. Yes I did.
Reading through your lifting achievements and goals is total inspiration! Thank you for sharing!

Seriously - great work - just keep plugging away and you'll do great!0 -
I had such a hard time with 55 lbs, but I managed 60 with less difficulty. Who knows why?0

Good for you! OHP is a tough lift for a lot of women. I really struggled to get to 60. But then I did, and now I'm slowly going up each week. It's crazy but fun.0

OHP is a slow gainer for many of us. I usually take 2-4 times at one weight just trying to get in all the reps. Hitting all 5x5 at your working weight is a great feeling that keeps pushing you forward. Congrats on the great lift!!!0
