May 1st.....time to REFOCUS!

Thanks for joining our May 2013 Challenge group! We are going to use the month of May to refocus our diet and workouts to make sure we are doing what we need to do to have the healthiest, leanest, strongest bodies possible. That means understanding what our body needs.

The MyFitnessPal tool is a great way to start. Commit to tracking your calorie intake for AT LEAST 7 days. This will give you a very good snapshot of whether you are feeding your machine the right stuff and enough of the right stuff. If you are frustrated that you are not losing weight even with all the great workouts you are getting, it is likely that you are not eating enough. I've attached a link below that you should check out. It

Libby and I are planning on posting something every couple of days to the group. We'll focus on nutritional tips, training tips, motivation, etc. If there is anything specific you want us to find some information or if you have something you want to share, just send us an email and we'll post it.

Tip for the day: set up your own personalized workouts under Cardio that you can use going forward. I have Circuit A (300 calories), Circuit B (400 calories), Circuit C (500 calories). Based on which workout I do I pick the one that best fits.....A if I only do a couple of the rounds or C if I do 4 rounds or extra stuff.
