I understand Michi's ladder and everything, but should I even bother counting calories? I'm afraid if I don't, I'll end up being way UNDER my goals and end up being lethargic, etc...

I eat very healthy all day and usually at the end of the day I have to fill up to reach my 1400 goal. What do y'all think?
