PHASE 1

Strawberry French Toast: Contains egg, but that is okay for this recipe

Oatmeal Fruit Smoothie: Use 1/2 cup uncooked oats OR 1 cup oats and 1 cup ice cubes. Bump the fruit to 1 cup if you like, or add another 1/2 cup of whole fruit for your total P1 fruit portion

Tuna, Green Apple and Spinach Salad: Serves 1, not 2

Open-Faced Turkey Sandwich: Use 4 oz. of deli meat

Chicken and Broccoli Bowl: Use 1.5 cups of rice, not 1/2 cup

Chicken and Barley Soup: Portion is 2 cups; recipe makes A LOT of soup

Filet mignon with brown rice: Broth should be 2 1/4 cups to 1 cup uncooked brown rice

Pork tenderloin with pineapple and broccoli: Haylie advises that the pineapple is okay here, even though you don’t have a fruit for P1 dinner. The pineapple is used more as a flavoring. And be sure to add a grain to complete the meal requirement.

Turkey, white bean and kale soup: The recipe makes 8 servings, not 4. And since it contains so many beans, there’s no need to eat an additional grain with your meal.

Stuffed Mushrooms: Serves 2, not 4

Berry Nutty Oatmeal Smoothie: Add 1 cup fruit

Coconut Curry Chicken: Serve with 1/2 cup cooked quinoa per portion

Hummus: Portion is 1/2 cup — this is different from the book, but Haylie has confirmed and it will be changed in future book editions.
