    this was LD45 plastazote foam, a heat gun and a little patience :)

    After shaping, to you seal it with a lacker or soemthing before painting?
    Do you use acrylics?

    It's a method that varies from person to person but I usually seal it with the heat gun, then use decorators sealant to smooth out any hard lines or where 'welded joins' would be (if that makes sense).

    Then 50/50 wood glue/water with a sponge as this is the fastest application method and leaves no streaks.

    About five coats of this or more, you can speed up drying time with a hairdryer. Then it is ready for paint, I undercoat it with matt black car spray paint first as it is pretty cheap then I top coat it with Plastikote spray - usually two light coats otherwise you get spray burn.

    Once that is done you can get to your detailing work and drybrushing/highlighting and then I think on this one I will also throw some extra coats of PVA on top or plastidip spray to seal the outer but not too sure yet.
